Overview

This is a junior administrative role where you should be excited to learn. Ideal candidates should show a strong interest and knowledge of the media landscape, getting their news and entertainment from a variety of sources. We are all about teamwork--everyone should have a positive, enterprising attitude. Candidates should be able to embrace change and be flexible as priorities and strategies evolve.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to the Communications team across a variety of duties and projects that span digital media and television
  • Create and maintain accurate press lists and contacts, as well as press assets
  • Conduct media monitoring and create weekly press coverage reports; maintain a database of positive press mentions
  • Assist in tracking departmental budgets
  • Produce content for, and contribute to strategies for, FMG’s corporate social channels and website
  • Gain experience crafting pitches around editorial content
  • Assist on special projects, including events, presentations, and research, as needed
  • Collaborate closely with various departments and editorial brands across the company to gather accurate information and coordinate work
  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge of Fusion Media Group, and each of FMG brands and portfolio businesses

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
  • Interest in the media business
  • 1 year experience in public relations, communications or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Extreme attention to details, including grammar and spelling, are a must
