Overview

FMG is looking for a content strategist with the skills for developing solutions for our advertising partners. The strategist will be part of a team responsible for inspiring and synthesizing ideas from across the company into compelling stories for brands that capture the interest and attention of our readers while achieving the marketer's objectives. You will work on behalf of some of the most iconic brands in publishing like Gizmodo, Deadspin, Jezebel, Kotaku, Lifehacker, Jalopnik, The Onion, A.V. Club, ClickHole, The Root, Fusion and more.
 

We are seeking an eager, ambitious, Internet-obsessed, and savvy marketing mind to join our team. You'll work with our editorial and creative teams to turn ideas into persuasive and exciting pitches as part of the RFP phase.

Communicators. Whether crafting pitch language for a brand partnership or developing pristine materials to showcase FMG's portfolio of work or speaking with clients to evolve ideas, we’re focused on getting the point across in the most compelling way possible. 

Opinionated. We’re constantly listening and learning about the business to develop opinions and perspectives about where and how we can improve. When we share our opinions, we aim to back them up with clear insights and strategic rationale. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Passion and understanding of FMG brands and our audiences
  • Uncanny attention to detail and quality
  • Unrivaled time management skills and the ability to jump between projects and tasks with ease
  • Knack for creative problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team of diverse voices – sales types, creatives, editors, technologists, and clients – in a very fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iWork and Google Docs
