Overview

Fusion Media Group, a division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) reaches 95MM monthly unique visitors, with more than 20MM of those visitors being Multicultural. FMG includes Gizmodo Media Group, Onion Inc., Fusion and The Root among other platforms and networks. FMG is seeking a dynamic, Account Executive to focus specifically on Multicultural business.  This will include an account list consisting of Multicultural agencies, as well as an opportunity to co-pitch Multicultural teams within larger agencies.

This is a highly unique role in that it is a new department, focusing on a somewhat niche but rapidly growing segment: Multicultural. It is an opportunity to be an expert in this field, lead others with this knowledge and grow within the department and company. This role requires a persuasive, disciplined self-starter with a passion for hitting sales goals and high-volume activity. An understanding of content marketing and branded content is an important attribute. Knowledge of West Coast Multicultural agencies and their accounts is a plus.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop a deep understanding of FMG product & content capabilities
  • Commit to a high activity sales culture, with 7-10 meetings per week, significant RFP volume and proactive opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of staff within our National Sales, Copy Writers, Product, and Marketing teams
  • Be strategic about your business and what it will take to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Use FMG’s Sales CRM (Netsuite) for meeting logs, follow-ups and notes, as well as all RFP/proposal activity
  • Detailed account activity history and organization is required
