Overview

Onion, Inc. is looking for a Director of Strategic Partnerships to promote our content services division, Onion Labs, with the intent of building and growing long-term partnerships with brands.

Based in our Chicago, IL headquarters, the Director will report to the VP of Strategic Partnerships. This person will manage the sales process from prospecting to close while ensuring excellent service and support to both prospects and clients. This position requires an independently motivated professional who can also thrive in a dynamic team environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-level, client relationships with brand partners to understand strategic needs and deliver resources to meet their business objectives.
  • Understand and effectively communicate Onion Labs value proposition, processes, and partnerships as they relate to the growth of current and prospective client accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue with potential and existing accounts
  • Present & communicate complex programs and strategies in concise, digestible way to brand clients
  • Maintain strong pipeline of potential prospects while moving sales opportunities through pipeline to close
  • Prospect new clients through networking, conference attendance, outreach

 

 

Qualifications

  • Experience 7+ years in Sales - preferred Advertising sales in Digital, Radio, OOH, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - dynamic on phone & in-person
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong listening skills
  • Confidently leads meetings with senior marketing executives
  • Proven ability to maintain strong book of business, gain repeat business
  • Understands & can articulate digital media and distribution strategies
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Must be able to travel domestically
